Other People's Shoes
Iris is in love with shoes. She's not picky - she likes everyone's shoes.
she has been trying for awhile without success to get Daddy's big man boots on her little feet.
Finally, after many
many
many
many, many, MANY tries,
success!
she was so proud of herself!
Then she realized that Daddy's other big man boot is way over there!
Curses!
Later that same evening...

Easter
Eli and Iris' Easter Sunday
We had Stake Conference. Both babies were really really good for two hours. I was so proud of them. We had a family dinner with cousins, and we ate lamb and ham.
Outfits... bow-tie, dress, hair-bow, and bracelet by Mom, sweater by Tutu.

Backhoe!
We rented a backhoe last weekend to put some water hydrants on our property.
E was soooo excited!
He had to keep away while they were digging the trench.
He also had to stay away from the trench (very sad). "But Mom, I am careful around big holes!"
(It was 6 feet deep!)
Iris watched thru the window.
Hooray for not having to haul critter water in the winter!!!

Family Clean-Up Day
We took advantage of the nice weather (finally!) on Monday to do some outside clean-up.
Rosie wasn't pleased that we invaded her turf
Iris loved going for rides in the garden cart.
She cried when I took her out.
Jeremy repaired the coop roof that blew off in a storm
We picked up logs and posts and tree branches in the pasture. Iris really wanted to help, but they were too big for her, so she picked up dried horse manure.
We had a big bonfire to get rid of all of last fall's mess.
I really, really, really hope that spring is here (for real)!

Dinosaur Zoo-seum
We took my dad to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point for his birthday. (Because that is what every 50 year-old really wants)
Eli called it the dinosaur zoo-seum.
He carried the map and navigated us around the place.
He was very concerned about seeing "real" dinosaurs, until we explained that they were all dead and skeletonized.
(Or as E says, "boned-up")
This little guy was not boned-up, but he is a nice dinosaur.
We saw a stegosaurus
A triceratops
Some T-Rex
and lots and lots of other dinosaurs!
We assembled a giant stegosaurus puzzle
Here is Eli with a giant prehistoric sloth skeleton. Sloths are scary. I'm sorry, they just are.
Eli was very scared of this shark. He wouldn't get close enough for me to get a picture.
His very favorite dinosaur was this guy:
The brachiosaurus.
His face when he first saw it...
He loves dinosaurs!
Iris... not so much.
