I very recently found out that a friend of ours is unable to have
more kids... something I totally did not know.
I have been wracking my brain to think if there has been a conversation where I may have said something insensitive
to her unintentionally...
Kind of stressing over this.
I am completely the queen of foot-in-mouth, and I remember how hurtful it was when we were having conception and miscarriage problems, and rude family members asked,
"When are you guys having another baby?" :P
When I was 2 1/2 weeks overdue with Iris, and one day in
church I got six "Are you STILL pregnants" at church in
under 5 minutes, I swore up and down that I would NEVER ask a
pregnant woman that question. Ever.
And since then, I have caught my self almost saying it.
Crazy.
Gotta watch my mouth!
I have so been on each side of that story. Eeeek! It is a great reminder for me to not be annoyed everytime someone says something insensitive or ridiculous like "you are so huge!" (referring to my very pregnant belly)
